The Prep

The Prep

Saturday, June 7th, 24 8th - 12th grader students along with 7
adults are leaving Grace for our annual mission trip. This summer,
like last summer, we are heading to Dalton, GA to team up with Grace
Presbyterian Church in their efforts to reach out the the vast
hispanic communities in their area.

Each day we will wake up in their missionary dorm house and head out
to a work project. This year we will be all together doing a massive
total renovation of an entire house, including painting, flooring,
drywall and construction. There will be a few professionals on site
with us keeping us safe and on target.

In the afternoon we will be leading two separate "Backyard Bible
Clubs," one in an area park, the other in a community near the church
at a church members' house. These Clubs will revolve around the theme
of "RESCUE", going through God rescuing his people through the Red
Sea; the Shadrach story of God rescuing through fire; Jesus rescuing
through the calming of the Storm which his disciples thought that they
would die; and finally Jesus' rescue of us through his death and
resurrection. Using each days' passage, we will have games, art
projects, music and a bible lesson. These will almost all be led by
the students with adults alongside and behind them.

We will return at lunchtime, Saturday, June 14th tired yet eager to
share our stories, pictures and videos with you all.
